New alterative to solve the question of poverty

It is not unusual in Ukraine to discuss the question of poverty with interest, but also from a  distance. Almost everyone is affected, because even those, who have a medium or high income live with the fear of instability. The income, which we call as usual average income is seen as poverty in the world.

Countries in the third world are out of the question all the more so. Starvation or death caused by infections is almost the usual life of the poor. There were always people, who were affected and suffered from poverty. There were and still are trials to solve this problem by distributing the resources among all members of a society and to reach worldwide justice and equality between all humans.

But this idea seems to be utopian and unreal, because somebody, who has resources, will find a way to increase his property another person will waste it within a short period. And after a while the same inequality will arise. The question lies in the readiness to find own solutions and to take responsibility for them. Of course not everyone has leadership qualities and some people need just a work, where they have to fulfill simple tasks and nothing more. But what happens, if it is even difficult to find such a work?

The fear to live a life in poverty or without any income influences all areas of life. High-school graduates are looking for a specialisation, which they do not like, but where they have a chance to earn good money in the perspectives. Then  we get specialists, who do not like their jobs and therefore won’t do them well.

A new alternative to solve poverty is a Basic Income Guarantee. What is it? It is a minimum income, which is paid monthly to all members of a society – regardless, if they work or not and regardless, how much they earn. A nice approach, but there is still the question: Wouldn’t this idea take away the motivation for some people to work, if they get a monthly Basic Income, which is enough for living?
